The University of Dayton and the Alumni Association are committed to preserving the privacy of alumni and friends.

SECURITY AND SERVICES PROVIDED

This site has password-protected, secure areas that enable alumni and friends to connect with each other. Services included are the alumni directory; profile management (for updating and submitting contact and other information); and event registration. 

HOW WE COLLECT, USE AND SHARE YOUR INFORMATION; ACCESS AND CHOICES

The alumni directory is a means of collecting information, on a voluntary basis, from alumni to make available in a directory format. The directory offers the ability for all alumni to suppress publication of their data on a field-by-field basis except for first name, last name, degrees and degree years. Alumni who register for access to the site do so voluntarily; they acknowledge that their names, degrees and degree years will be visible to other alumni registrants; and they acknowledge that other information may also be available to other registrants unless they affirmatively select the option(s) for such data not to be shown.

This directory is for official University use and also for individual communication of a personal nature between members listed in the directory. Use of this directory for any other purpose is strictly prohibited; these prohibited purposes include but are not limited to reproducing and storing in a retrieval system by any means, whether electronic or mechanical; photocopying; or using the addresses or other information contained in this directory for any private, commercial or political mailing.

The information on this site will not be used for any commercial or philanthropic purpose not directly connected with or approved by the University; nor will the original information be given, lent, sold or otherwise distributed to any other individual or organization.

The use of cookies is limited to storing an active login session, which enhances the experience of the site visitor who may navigate between the public and the password-protected area of the site. Cookies are not used to store personal preferences, personal information or pages visited on the site. 

When an alumnus, alumna or friend of the University subscribes to an e-mail list or provides an e-mail address for other purposes, his or her e-mail address is recorded by the system and then used for various alumni-related email announcements. Note that general announcements may also be sent to that email address.
